What are the programs professinal use? I want to know about webdesign, graphic design, film, (anything ditigal media). I like to start with books and teach myself so I can build up my portfolio. Once I work really hard to get good stuff I like to apply to a grad school program. I have no experience in digital media whats so ever any advice?

Hello there Thanks for the help. My issue is regarding a task I have been set basically.

I have been asked to produce a two page site containing static text with four pages 3 which point to dummy pages and one page containing a form where by when a user fills out the forms and clicks submit, the contents of the form are sent to the email.

my question is usually especially for university I produce programmes in XAMPP like a blog using notepadd++ i created then just sent the zip of the files, BUT in this task. I have been advised that should be able to run on an apache server. SO BASICALLY THE FILE SHOULD BE UNZIPPED ON A WEB SERVER with no changes made for it to run correctly.

could you please advised on this issue i am not to familiar with apache server stand alone even though I should be lol as i am doing webdesign lol!!!

a place to meet high energetic people, love to make things, creative people. A place that provides all the tools needed and you’re only there to bring an idea to reality. I can’t wait to one day to win a lottery and start make things that i always wanted and maybe at that time to find out somebody has already done it. i really want to put forward my ideas out now and keep improve on it. i get healthier by being active in doing what i like that reflects of who i am. everyone around me do get happy when I’m active. It’s really really hard to find a friend in real life who does and like to do the similar thing as you are. i do need a real group of people in real life, gather together for some real goal. maybe some have access to tools, some with business mind that know how to get fund, some are artist but want to integrate technology/science to their masterpiece. I ‘m aware that I’m getting older everyday. i’m tired of sitting here figuring out the very basic steps and NOT be able to do things that i am best at.
I can describe myself as someone who will lock himself in the garage for couple days and nights once he has a reason to do so.
i have backgrounds in cnc programming, electrical/electronics design, photography, graphic design, webdesign, sound engineer. If you know any community or group of people or organization please let me know. i appreciated your inputs.

I’m Graphic Designer and recently thinking in going to the webdesign, there is like million software to mock up the websites with, my question is as a designer, what exactly I should work on? because when you have a glance online you find, Flash, Dreamweaver, word press, JQuery, php, html which confuse you! I hope I’m clear and will be glad to have an answer from an expert to arrange my thought and start seriously!
