I don’t know if anyone will be able to help me, but it’s worth a shot.
I am doing a webdesign course (in its v early stages) and as part of the course we upload files we create at home onto the university server.
I have created pages with images that I can see when I use the web browser at home, but when I upload them onto the server the images don’t show. The rest of the page is fine, and the ‘alt’ text shows.
I have my images in a seperate folder (called ‘images’) (but it is not a subfolder) the images are JPEG (but I suffixed them .jpg as I thought it was the same, and it worked like this at home - could this make a difference?)
I know it is a little difficult to tell what I am doing wrong without seeing what I’m doing, but if anyone has any suggestions that might help it would be nice…
Thanks
Thanks everyone for your help - it seems to be something to do with the format of the pics - .gif and .png both work but .jpg doesn’t - why this should be I have no idea
but thanks to you all anyway
